Brock Frost Campaign 2014
Councillor Brock Frost will be holding his 2nd annual Hugs & Kisses event on Valentine’s Day.

“Last year was such a success,” said Frost. “We were able to visit over 400 seniors at 3 separate retirement homes.”

The event, which involves handing out chocolate “kisses” to seniors attracted numerous volunteers on February 14th of last year.

“It’s truly remarkable how a small gesture can go a long way,” claims Frost.

Frost originally came up with the idea as a result of his own mother having worked at the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge for over 20 years.

“I feel that too often our seniors are forgotten and simply put aside,” argues Frost. “Anything we can do to put a smile on their face, even for just one day, has a significant impact on their well-being.”

Frost is current working on the list of retirement homes for this year’s event. Last year Frost and his volunteers visited the GSD Lodge, Heartwood and Sandfield Place.

With only one month away, Frost is asking anyone interested in volunteering at this year’s event to contact him directly at [email protected].
