bug40circleThis year marks the 40th anniversary of the United Counties Science Fair, which is a non-profit charitable organization run by a team of volunteer teachers and parents. The organization’s goals are to encourage students to explore some of the many fields of science and to help students develop creative critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills.

If you are the parent or grandparent of a child attending any of the schools in the three United Counties or the district of Akwesasne then this fair is of interest to you. The “Science on the Wall” category will showcase the efforts of over 200 projects by grade 1 to 5 students from 18 area schools and the “Science Fair” category will feature over 110 grade 6 to 12 students from 19 area schools displaying their 75 projects. This is an excellent opportunity for you and your family to see our budding scientists, engineers, and researchers of the future!

We will be awarding approximately $10,000 in prizes, awards, scholarships, and trips, including the opportunity to represent our regional fair at the Canada Wide Science Fair in Fredericton New Brunswick in May!
