IMG_20151009_210420 IMG_20151013_162832 (3)Club Octogone recently partnered with CAS for our Child Abuse Prevention Campaign by hosting a youth dance Friday, Oct 9th  at LaCitadelle.  This youth dance was done to raise awareness about abuse/neglect prevention with our youth and to raise funds to send our local children/youth to camp – CAS Kids Camp Fund.

At this dance, we gave away many Purple supplies like ribbons and bracelets, glow sticks and prizes for those dressed in purple to support this campaign. We also had a Purple Selfie backdrop to encourage youth to take a selfie and post it on our social media outlets – FB, Twitter, Instagram for the Selfie contest.

This was a great success and as a result we raised $550.  This amount of money will send one child/youth to camp next summer.

Thank you to club Octogone which consists of youth representatives from all the schools in SDG.  Their partnership and dedication to such cause is greatly admired.
