Cornwall, Ont – Thursday, October 22, 2015 – Finally! A word that many race fans from the Cornwall Motor Speedway will say when it was announced that the current stand would be demolished and new ones will be built in the coming months!
The demolition of the current stands started earlier this week and might take a few week to clean the grounds and prepare the surface to welcome the new ones. The future stands might be ready as early as this fall depending of the weather, if not, they will be completed during spring and everything will be ready for the start of the 2016 season!
Some major cleaning is also underway around the facility as numerous trees and weeds, the removal of these will make the surroundings wider, cleaner and will permit the addition of some picnic tables.
The preparation of the 2016 calendar is well underway as well with many Series confirmed for the upcoming season with new additions and great surprises. Some announcements will be made in the coming months.
We invite people to follow the evolution of the stands construction on our Facebook page as we will add updates and photos in the coming weeks.
