Cornwall–The Colts outshot and out chanced the Braves but ended up on the losing end of a 3-1 score Thursday night at the Ed Lumley Arena.
Captain Lawson MacDonald’s 18th goal of the season opened the scoring on a second period power play but that was all the offence the Colts could muster despite outshooting Brockville 42-28.
Liam Lascelle was tagged with the loss in goal.
The Colts record falls to 26-26-3-1 for 53 points. Cornwall remains stuck in 9th place in the CCHL standings.
The Wendy’s Restaurant Three Stars were 1st Star Ian Johnston (BRO), 2nd Star Michael Cerasuolo (BRO) and 3rd Star Lawson MacDonald (COR).
The Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Colts player was Dean Derouchie who picked up an assist on the Colts lone goal.
Cornwall is back in action tomorrow night in Brockville. Game time is 7:30pm at the
Brockville Memorial Centre.
Cornwall returns home next Thursday (Feb 25th) to face the Smiths Falls Bears. The Colts will
welcome South Stormont Minor Hockey Association as well as it being TC Media Game Night.
Game time is 7:30pm.
