Nav Centre Corwnall OntarioCornwall, ON —The Cornwall Innovation Centre will be hosting its third InnoTalk on Tuesday March 20, 2018 in the Lecture Theatre at the NAV CENTRE, featuring special guest speaker Graham Leach, Business Strategy Lead of SingularityNET, and Managing Director/Founding Partner at Remediare located in Hong Kong.

“I look forward to collaborating with the Cornwall Innovation Centre with respect to this event,” said Leach. “I think it is but a small harbinger of a great many joint initiatives and events to come from the CIC that will have a tremendous positive social impact on not only the city of Cornwall, but also Eastern Ontario.”

Leach’s talk will focus on how Blockchain has become big business – and big news. In the ten years since its inception in 2008, Blockchain (or its most famous implementation, BitCoin) has taken the global imagination by storm, creating millionaires and billionaires out of ordinary people. He’ll focus on what blockchain is and if it’s a fad or here to stay. This free introductory lecture answers these questions and more, laying the groundwork and showing the way for people curious about Blockchain and interested to learn about how they might take advantage of it from the perspective of someone in Business, Investing or Technology.

“Blockchain not only represents the emergence of an exciting new technology, it also represents a chance for us, as a society, to take a look at our present circumstances with fresh eyes and perhaps reformulate some of our social, commercial and government forms into newer, more responsive configurations.” — Graham Leach
