Louise Gendron, owner of the trendy beauty spa Studio 101, has been a strong ambassador of the downtown core and small businesses for years, but recently, she has taken her love and passion for the city a step further.

When Cornwall Tourism provided the entrepreneur with t-shirts to wear, Louise came up with a great concept.  The idea is sort of like the #FollowFriday trend on social media, but in person.

Every Friday, the team at Studio 101 wears t-shirts that promote fellow businesses, giving those businesses an opportunity to be discovered by their clientele.  They also post pictures on Facebook and Instagram, giving more exposure to those businesses.

“Bring us your shirts and we’ll wear them,” says Gendron.  “We love our city.  We want Cornwall to thrive and if we can help other business owners by doing this simple thing, we’re happy to do it!  It’s all about cross promotion.  We also encourage other businesses to do the same!”

If you want to be part of this movement, simply get your shirts done, then bring them to Louise at Studio 101.  If your company is interested in participating, send us an email at info@theseeker.ca.  We will update our social media regularly to keep a running list of all locations wearing shirts.

To get shirts done, you can contact Versacore Tech Designs via email at versacore@cogeco.net or @ 613-935-8101
