South Stormont, ON – On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, Council for the Township of South Stormont approved the 2020 Municipal Budget. The budget represents a balanced approach to the increasing service requirements as a result of aging infrastructure, increasing/changing service mandates, downloading of services, and growth in the Township.

The approved budget, excluding water and wastewater services, allows the Township to implement a reasonable and affordable local tax rate increase of 3.99%, while proactively accomplishing tasks with a focus on the current and future needs within the Township.
