Eastern Ontario Health Unit has changed their way of reporting cases to now include region
As of today, the region stands at 61 cases, one less than yesterday, a case that should have been attributed to the Ottawa region. The person diagnosed was an Ottawa resident who worked in Eastern Ontario. The total count includes 2 health care workers.
So far, 796 tests have been done. Here is the breakdown:
292 in Hawkesburry
165 in Casselman
51 in Winchester
198 in Cornwall
90 in Rockland
About half of the results are still pending, but Dr. Roumeliotis is expecting them in the next few days.
Testing criterias have been laxed and now allow for front line workers, with or without symptoms, to get tested if needed.
