The executive for the Stormont, Dundas, and South Glengarry Green Party is pleased to announce that it is now an official riding association at both the federal and provincial levels. Members of the Electoral District Association have selected Elaine Kennedy as Chief Executive Officer, and Patrick Burger is Organizing Chair.

The executive will aim to raise awareness of the Green Party’s platform, increase visibility and membership. The SDSG Greens will become a dynamic voice in our region, promoting the environmental and social values of the party.

The association executive will be looking for a local person to run as a candidate in Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry. A nomination meeting will be held in October.

“I am pleased that the Green Party can offer a natural home to progressive voters who are willing to put principle over power. We are committed to environmental justice, social justice, non-violence, respect for diversity, and participatory democracy,” says Elaine Kennedy, Chief Executive Officer for the SDSG Greens.
