Santa Claus showed up tonight in Cornwall, arriving straight from the North Pole, for his annual visit.

Adhering to public health measures, he did not host a parade this year, but rather a “reverse” parade. Families drove through the lineup of displays, while staying safe in the comfort of their own cars.

Helped by the Santa Claus Parade Committee, and many volunteers from the Optimist Club of Cornwall, Santa hosted an magical event to remember, despite covid, with over 20 participants and a long, long line of event goers. In the end, children big and small got to see the man with the bag.

The winners of this year’s event are:

The third place went to the Good News Centre
The second place went to Emard Lumber
The first place went to Studio C Dance School.

Congrats to all and and to all, Merry Christmas!

Here are a few snapshots from tonight, courtesy of Chantal Gilmour.
