Gel ball has recently gotten quite popular, you may have seen it on the internet or TV, you might have wondered what it actually is; is it really as fun as your friends say it is? For people who aren’t familiar with this fun activity, gel ball is a competitive team sport that is somewhat similar to paintball and laser tag. It also involves two teams who are each given the time to complete a certain task as they continue to play against each other. In order to win, gamers need to hit the other team’s players with the balls so that they get eliminated from the team. As you can probably tell by now, this game is designed in a way so that players get to experience using firearms; but they’re made of plastic of course.

If you’re interested in trying out this exciting activity, here’s an easy guide to understand what this game involves before you can start playing.

What is a Gel Ball Made Of?

Gel ball is a small and spherical polymer water bead usually made of a gelatinous material and gets absorbed quickly. When someone fires a gel ball at an opposition player, it breaks open and releases the bright colored dye. The dye, of course, leaves a distinctive mark on the surface it lands on. A small but comforting fact is that these pellets are incredibly lightweight compared to paintballs.

How is it Used?

These water-saturated balls are used as ammunition in gel blasters, which are toy guns that emulate real-life firearms. The blasters are plastic weapons that have an opening into which you can insert the gel balls. These are then fired from an air pump which is located at the base of the blaster. Moreover, there are various types of guns you can use in the battleground, be it pistols, shotguns, or gel blaster rifles, and that is just to name a few. All of them have unique features that will each benefit your performance differently in a game. Choose a weapon that fulfills your requirements. You can also modify your gun by adding accessories like a silencer which would help you remain unnoticed while playing the game. Therefore, by using the most advanced equipment, your chances of winning the game will be higher.

Is it Safe?

The mention of guns and pellets might make you think that this game is dangerous. However, you don’t need to worry; playing in the right environment and wearing proper safety equipment will allow you to enjoy your time with your friends without having to worry at all about getting hurt. Unlike paintballs, these pellets are made of a supersaturated material, making their impact much less intense so that you don’t wake up the next day with bruises. Moreover, to further address customer safety concerns, protective eyewear such as safety goggles and a mask are provided, ensuring your eyes will not be in any danger.

Choosing the Best Venue to Play

To make this fun-filled activity memorable, you need to give importance to the facility you select for playing. While making a choice, make sure the place offers medical services in case someone gets injured and is responsive to any issues you may face. Moreover, you also need to check if they provide you with safety gear like shields, gloves, and glasses. Lastly, the blasters they give you should be well-maintained and functioning to enhance your experience and make you feel like you’re using a real-life firearm as you engage in combat with your opponent team.

Focus on Teamwork

The only way your team can attain victory is by staying united. However, before you enter the battleground, create a team that consists of players with different abilities that give their best performance and help you win the game. If you make up a team consisting of people that use the same techniques, you’ll have a lesser chance of winning than someone whose team includes people with different skills. Thus, by working collectively as a team and focusing on achieving your target, you’ll have a chance of beating your rival team.

What are the Advantages of Playing?

Since this sport brings together a lot of people, it can allow you to make friends if you’re shy or lack the confidence to interact with people. Moreover, this activity can be great for team building and learning the importance of coordinating with members. Additionally, you’ll also stay fit since this activity requires you to be vigilant and constantly move around on the battleground.

There are many people who love this sport due to the life-like experience of being on an actual battlefield. If you’re searching for an exciting activity to try out with your friends, gel ball is a great way to let out some energy while having fun.
