Everyone needs to drink water for survival. But ensuring that the water we are drinking is clean and pure can be difficult. Drinking dirty or polluted water can cause a number of diseases such as cholera, typhoid, dysentery, and diarrhea. This article will provide you with 7 ways to ensure that the water you’re drinking is clean and pure!

Use A Filter

One of the safest ways to know that your drinking water is safe for consumption is by installing a filtration system in your home. It’s much healthier for you to drink purified water that has left behind all of the contaminants, ensuring that what you’re drinking is pure and clean. If you want to avoid tap water or just get more out of your current system, read on for a few easy steps to take towards ensuring that the water you consume every day is safe and drinkable!

The best way to ensure that all impurities are removed from your home’s source of drinking water is by installing an under sink filtration system in your kitchen. These systems come with everything needed for installation and work efficiently at ensuring good health standards when it comes to consuming purified drinking water throughout your home.

A polished water filter will ensure that all particles and impurities are removed from the water before you drink it. Filters come in different sizes and get the job done effectively. From carbon filters, and reverse osmosis to UV filtration, there’s a system that works for any budget or need.

Buy Bottled Water

There is a big chance that bottled water is what you should be drinking, ensuring it is clean and pure. Drinking water has many benefits to your health but if the water isn’t bottled then there are several problems that may arise such as:

  • The chemicals in tap water can cause cancer or other diseases.
  • Unsafe drinking water contains disease-causing bacteria like E Coli and Salmonella
  • Tap water contains more harmful chemicals and toxins than bottled water.
  • Bottled water is the best option for ensuring that you are drinking clean and pure products

Don’t Use Plastic Bottles

If you are a person who drinks bottled water, you should avoid using plastic bottles to ensure that the drinking water is clean and pure. If stored like this, it can be contaminated with Bisphenol A, which is a chemical that has been linked to obesity and cancer.

You should also avoid using aluminum cans because these types of containers may leach into the drinking water. You should use glass or stainless steel when buying bottled water if you want it to be clean and pure. This type of container will not contaminate the drinking water like plastic does.

Store Your Water In Glass Or Stainless Steel

You can boil your water to get all the toxins out, and then store it in a glass or stainless steel container.

Stainless steel is a great option for storing water because it’s durable and easy to clean, ensuring that the water doesn’t become contaminated with odors from other foods you store in your refrigerator. It also won’t impart any taste to your drinking water, unlike plastic containers which tend to hold onto flavors of the liquids they’ve been used for previously.

Glass bottles are the healthiest choice when choosing storage containers for your drinking water at home. The only problem with glass is that it’s breakable and can shatter, making them a bit more difficult to deal with. It also needs to be hand-washed, so if you have a busy family it might not be the best choice.

Install A Reverse Osmosis System In Your Home

A reverse osmosis system can make a world of difference when it comes to ensuring the water you’re drinking is clean and pure. Reverse osmosis systems involve pushing tap or well water through membranes that remove impurities such as heavy metals, nitrates, fluoride, bacteria, and many other contaminants from your drinking water. This system ensures that these substances do not get into our bodies causing potential health issues.

Get A Water Softener

A water softener is a healthy solution to ensuring the water you’re drinking is clean and pure. By softening your hard water, you can reduce contaminants in your water that may be causing problems for your appliances, which will save money on maintenance costs. Plus, it’s good for our environment by reducing waste of soaps and detergents used to treat the same issues caused by these contaminants.

Don’t Drink From Public Fountains

It can be unhealthy, or even dangerous to drink from public fountains. Public drinking valves are not monitored or maintained the same way that private ones are in homes, so there is a higher chance of catching something like hepatitis A, for example, when ingesting water coming out of these sources.

Water contamination can happen in multiple ways so be careful not to drink from public fountains.

Drinking clean water should be a huge concern for you at all times and a filtration system is a good start. You should also drink bottled water whenever you’re out, but make sure you get it from glass or steel bottles, the same way you should store your water at home. You could also install a reverse osmosis system and a water softener in your home. Finally, avoid public fountains as they can be dangerous and contagious for you and your family!
