Top 3 Motorcycles Routes in Southwestern Ontario

Whether you’re travelling in a pack or venturing out as a lone wolf, there’s nothing that beats your first run down an engaging motorcycle route with spectacular scenery. Part of the joy of owning a motorcycle is to get out exploring, but it doesn’t hurt to get some guidance to make sure you’re not headed for a day of endless repetition.

If you’re new to Southwestern Ontario, it will pay to take note of the highways that other motorcyclists enjoy the most. On the other hand, if you’ve been venturing out in the area for years, it never hurts to double-check to ensure you’re not missing any potential great spots.

If you need to upgrade your ride before the summer season hits, there is plenty of time. Every time that you need a new motorcycle is an opportunity to consider new options. Check out the availability of Suzuki motorcycles for sale over the winter so that you can try out a few and get yourself set up for the summer of a lifetime.

1)     Lake Erie Shoreline

The network of roads that run along Ontario’s Lake Erie shore connect to comprise a route that boasts scenes as stunning to view as any of Canada’s coastlines. At the southernmost point of Canada, you’ll be able to experience excellent weather with plenty of pit stops along the way, including excellent dining options and motorcycle shops. Running all the way from Windsor to Fort Erie, you’ll get to enjoy the scope of the lake.

2)     Lake Huron and The St. Clair River

Whether you’re looking for a shorter route or have finished your Lake Erie run and have the drive to keep going further, you’ll gain miles of scenic shoreline to discover when you follow the St. Claire River to Lake Huron. Whether you’re interested in spectacular beaches, culinary delights, or discovering new bed and breakfast options, there’s plenty to do in the area. Plan out your trip to match the timing of local events, and you can even schedule a stop for summer ribfest or a fall craft festival in Sarnia.

3)     Elgin County, Country Road 42 and Turkey Point

If you’re looking for a day trip, you can easily divide up Lake Erie’s shoreline so that you get to spend more time exploring a smaller section of the area. After all, if you spend all your time rushed to get through a long run, you could miss out on a few not-to-miss local events and destinations.  Plan your trip for the summer, and you’ll be able to attend Balls Bike Rally in Aylmer this July. You also won’t want to miss out on Turkey Point Beach.

These routes may be the most popular among motorcyclists that love cruising along spectacular coasts, but they are far from all that is available for exciting trips in southwestern Ontario. Get yourself hooked up with a brand-new bike so that you can try them all out for yourself.
