Amy Malyon, choosecornwall.ca – Although the name pokes a little fun, the team at Fat Bastard Burrito Co. is serious about what they offer to clients. The Mexican centric franchise brings you fresh ingredients with exclusive flavours in all of their broad menu items.

“We spend many hours preparing our meats, vegetables and other toppings to make sure our burritos are perfect every time,” says owner Hemal Patel. “We look forward to serving the city of Cornwall and sharing our products with you.”

Mr. Patel and his team have been working for many months to finally open the east end establishment, with an investment of almost $500,000 into the building. The space is very modern and set up primarily for take-out but does offer some in house seating.

The franchise owner decided to set up in Cornwall after doing much research and determining it was a location with great growth potential, and an excellent location to raise a family.

“My wife and I were very happy to move to Cornwall to settle down, start a business and begin a family,” continues Patel. “There is access to everything we need, and the location is wonderful just an hour from Montreal and Ottawa.”

Fat Bastard Burrito has 55 locations across Ontario. The restaurant specializes in burritos, quesadillas and tacos and is open seven days a week. The Cornwall restaurant is located at the Eastcourt Mall at 1380 Second Street East.

The staff of about 10 right now will grow to over 15 as the location builds its reputation and clientele. You can learn more about the chain on their website:
