Ribfest Celebrates Akwasasne with the introduction of an Indigenous day on Thursday

Thursday at Ribfest will see a new format this year. July 21st is “Greeting to Akwesasró:non”, a day dedicated to celebrating the Akwesasne community and it’s arts and cultures. But the celebration is not limited to Thursday; A new area full of native artists , crafters and artisans, will be hosted during the full four days of the festival.

From 11:00 to 2:00 enjoy traditional music featuring  Akwesasne’s Woman’s Singers,  Akwesasne’s Bear Fox, AFS Singers as well as a smoke  dance demonstration.
