Back to normal
My last mandated day in isolation was filled with sunshine and simple pleasures. I basked in the sun, taking in Vitamin D, while getting some work done on the laptop.
I’m not sure if I even mentionned this, but last week was supposed to be our yearly vacation time. John was off work and we had planned a whole week in the Toronto and Niagara areas. Well Covid had different plans and decided it wanted to be the star of the party, so it parked us at home for 5 days, ruining our vacay.
But Lucios are positive and make lemonade out of the lemons life throws their way. We made the best of it. We spent good times together, played games, lots of trivia and had great food, just enjoying each other’s company.
Yesterday, we had sushi from Love Sushi, today, John, who is out of isolation, went to Farm Boy to gather all the stuff needed to make a killer charcuterie board. We feasted on that for lunh, then, he smoked Farm Boy’s burgers for dinner. Have you ever had those? They have all sorts of flavours! I particulartly love the Jalapeño one.
I feel bad for Mateo though. He somewhat lost his sense of taste. He’s the only one of us who did. He’s also very congested. For me, the severe congestion lasted only a day. He’s on his third.
In theory, I’m out of isolation tomorrow, but I’m still testing very, very positive, so I’m not sure I’ll be going out and about just yet. I wouldn’t want to pass this on to anybody.
We’ll see how it goes!
