Junior Optimist Club of Cornwall throw their first ever JOI Landmark Challenge
Similar to a scavenger hunt, but with a twist, the Optimist Club’s JOI first ever Landmark Challenge will take place in Cornwall on Saturday, September 10, 2022.
Teams will compete against one another and answer trivia questions to get points and clues to the next landmarks, strategically spread all over the downtown area. Teams of 2-4 players will fill the streets in an attempt to find all landmarks the quickest. There will be about 20 locations, the first of which will be the Cornwall Police Service building, which conveniently also serves as the registration spot, where teams will receive their first clue in an enveloppe.
Registration begins at 10:30. Burgers, courtesy of Joe’s Quality Meats, and other goodies will be served between 10:30 and 1. The event is limited to 30 teams, so be sure to show up early. Entry fee is $5 per team and the event is opened to anyone. Prizes donated by Ray Eady of Allstate Insurance, Dairy Queen Cornwall and Schnitzels will be awarded to the winning teams.
