South Stormont Students to be Recognized at the 2023 Sports Hall of Fame Ceremony

South Stormont, ON – The Sports Hall of Fame will once again be presenting recognition awards to South Stormont students who have made a significant athletic impact in the community. The awards will be presented as part of the 2023 South Stormont Sports Hall of Fame ceremony that is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 11 th at the South Stormont Community Hall in Long Sault.  After a reviewing the nominations the students receiving awards include Julia Cameron (multi-sports), Ella Dickson (multi-sport),  Josh Esford (hockey), Ella Lalonde (cross country/track & field), Ruby Lalonde (volleyball), Ian McCosham (cross country/track & field), Jason Obeng (basketball/football), and Kaleb Van Allen (karate).  Hall of Fame President, Kristie Tate was happy to make the announcement “the high level of accomplishment that these young South Stormont residents have achieved on an individual level or as part of a sports teams is amazing, we are proud to be able to showcase their talents at the ceremony and we have no doubt that they will continue be successful as they further pursue their passion for sports”.

Tickets for the event are now on sale at the Long Sault Arena during business hours, cost is $40.00 per ticket and can be paid by cash or cheque.  The Hall of Fame recently announced the adults who will be part of the induction class of 2023, for a full list of inductees and more information on the Sports Hall of Fame please visit the official website at www.ssshof.com
