Poptronic Announces 1st Annual VR Mini Golf Tournament in Support of Hockey Indigenous

Akwesasne, February 28th, 2024 — Poptronic, a leading virtual reality rental service and studio located in Akwesasne, Ontario, is thrilled to announce its inaugural Virtual Reality (VR) Mini Golf Tournament in support of Hockey Indigenous (HI) taking place Saturday, April 27th, 2024. The tournament aims to raise over $10,000 CAD to contribute to HI’s mission of Indigenous Youth and Community Empowerment.

HI is an Indigenous-led and governed organization whose overall goal and mandate is to provide a whole new generational direction toward Indigenous Youth and Community Empowerment. HI wants to use its platform to bring inclusion, motivation, and support to Indigenous Peoples while fostering policy and cultural teachings.

The VR Mini Golf Tournament is set to be a unique and entertaining experience, combining the excitement of virtual reality gaming with the opportunity to support a meaningful cause. Individuals and teams are invited to participate by registering for the event. Individual tickets are available for $125 CAD, and teams of 8 can register for $1000 CAD.

Registered participants will gain exclusive access to the virtual clubhouse, providing a social and interactive environment before, during, and after the tournament. In addition, participants will be automatically entered into draws for fabulous prizes, throughout the day, which kicks off at noon and goes until 9pm. Teams will only have to play for 1 hour, but can enjoy the livestream throughout the day, joining us in the virtual clubhouse for the closing awards show.

For those without a VR headset, Poptronic will offer a rental option exclusively for participants located in Canada. Rent a Meta Quest 2 pre-loaded with Walkabout Mini Golf and join in the immersive fun for the tournament!
