During National Volunteer Week, Habitat Cornwall celebrated the incredible volunteers who generously donate their time, skills and talents. Each volunteer brings meaningful contributions to the organization and continue to help bring affordable housing options to families and individuals in our community.

Habitat Cornwall relies on volunteers to assist in the ReStore, on the construction site, participate at Bingo, provide leadership and direction on committees and the Board of Directors.

In 2025, Habitat Cornwall recognized the long service achievements of 12 volunteers: Mary-Lee Smith Lepage (25 Years), Jay Grivell (17 Years), Mark MacDonell (16 Years), Kasey Masson (15 Years), Roland Arsenault and Mike Deserres (12 Years), Sharron Czorny, Peter Dawson, Terrye Dawson (11 Years), Hank Blasiak, Melissa Rose (10 Years), and Arnold Desjardins (8 Years).
Habitat Cornwall is also very proud of three volunteers who were selected through a Habitat for Humanity Canada process to receive the King Charles III’s Coronation Medals. The Royal Canadian Mint manufactured 30,000 Coronation Medals to commemorate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. Medal recipients are exceptional volunteers who have shown dedication and leadership while making a significant impact to their local Habitat organization and community.
King Charles III’s Coronation Medal recipients include Roland Arsenault, Hank Blasiak, and Mary-Lee Smith Lepage. These recipients have gone above and beyond to help provide affordable housing options to people in Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry including the City of Cornwall and Akwesasne.
