The City of Cornwall extends warm wishes for a safe and enjoyable Canada Day. Please be advised of the following changes to municipal services and information regarding events taking place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Municipal offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 1st. Curbside waste and recycling collection will remain the same for June 30th but will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. The City’s landfill site will also be closed on Canada Day.
Cornwall Transit will not be running regular service on July 1. However, a free shuttle bus service will be available. Transit offices will be closed on July 1 with regular service resuming on July 2. For detailed transit information, please visit www.Cornwall.ca/Transit .
The Cornwall Civic Complex will have limited access on July 1. The main concourse hallway will be open to the public for washroom use only.
Canada Day festivities in Lamoureux Park will begin at noon. The Kids’ Zone will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., offering family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon. The day will conclude with a fireworks display at 10:00 p.m.
