I had the opportunity to be an extra in Sentence, which is expected to screen at the Digi60 Filmmakers’ Festival in Ottawa this December. Ben Reside was my contact for the production.
We shot numerous scenes in different parts of the SDG Historic Jail in Cornwall, including the courtroom, an office and the hallway near the infirmary. It was a great experience watching the crew work and getting to be a small part of bringing the film to life.
Digi60 is a festival that supports new and emerging filmmakers. This year’s festival runs December 18–20. You can find more information on their website: https://www.digi60.org/
I’d also encourage anyone who hasn’t visited the SDG Historic Jail to take a tour when they have the chance. It’s a wonderful place with fascinating stories and so much history. Spending the day there was a reminder of the interesting places we have right here in Cornwall.
