Cornwall is getting ready to celebrate the holiday season in a big way, with a day full of festive fun for the whole family on November 16th. Organized by the Santa Claus Parade Committee, this year’s Santa Claus Parade will take place at 5 p.m., and the theme Christmas Around the World promises to make it an event to remember. But before the parade kicks off, the day will begin with another beloved tradition: the Optimist Club of Cornwall’s Breakfast with Santa.

Breakfast with Santa: A Morning of Fun and Cheer

The Optimist Club of Cornwall will be hosting their annual Breakfast with Santa on the morning of November 16th. Families are invited to join Santa Claus for a delicious meal, where kids can meet Santa up close, share their Christmas wishes, and enjoy a warm breakfast together. Held at a the Civic Complex, this event is a perfect way to kick off the holiday festivities early in the day.

The Santa Claus Parade: Christmas Around the World

After enjoying breakfast with Santa, families can head downtown for some Christmas Shopping, then head out to the main event — the Santa Claus Parade. Starting at 5 p.m., the parade will feature floats representing Christmas Around the World, offering a glimpse of holiday traditions from various cultures and countries. From the warmth of a European Christmas market to the vibrant colors of South American celebrations, the parade promises a rich and diverse experience.

“We wanted to bring a global perspective to this year’s parade,” says a member of the committee. “Cornwall is such a diverse community, and it’s wonderful to highlight the different ways Christmas is celebrated across the world.”

With local schools, dance troupes, musicians, and community groups participating, the parade will be an exciting mix of music, lights, and festive spirit. The highlight, of course, will be the grand appearance of Santa Claus himself, officially signaling the start of the holiday season in Cornwall.
