SLC Cornwall invites future students to Open House, Saturday, April 5

St. Lawrence College (SLC) in Cornwall invites prospective students and their supporters and guests to discover college life at its annual Spring Open House on Saturday, April 5, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

At Open House visitors can explore college facilities, connect with faculty and current students, and learn about programs, classroom, lab, and study spaces, services and resources, and how SLC ensures its students succeed. The college now boasts over 120,000 alumni in its sixty years of training skilled graduates and is proudly committed to putting students first.

“Open House is an ideal opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the programs we offer, and how we support all students to achieve their academic goals.” said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO. “Whether you’re exploring your options or have already chosen to attend SLC, this event showcases the incredible SLC team and community and demonstrates the many ways we flexibly meet student needs throughout their time with us.” 

SLC in Cornwall features specialized learning spaces for programs such as Paramedic, Nursing, Welding, and more, as well as offering in-demand programs such as Early Childhood Education, Environmental Technology, Supply Chain Management, and Computer Systems Technician. A comprehensive list of the programs offered in Cornwall is included below.  

Prospective students can attend program-specific information sessions, take guided tours of SLC’s state-of-the-art facilities and residence, as well as connect with faculty, current students, and student support teams from Career Services, the Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid, and more.  

Event highlights include:

  • Application fee vouchers for those who apply to SLC during Open House (limited quantities available on a first-come, first-served basis) 
  • Information on financial aid and new entrance bursaries
  • Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) details for transfer students 
  • Information about online and part-time study options 
  • Guided tours of campus facilities and residence 
  • Open House giveaways:

Apply on site and we’ll pay your OCAS application fee! Visit the Application Station at Open House, apply to SLC, and receive a voucher that covers the $150 OCAS application fee. 

Offers limited to supply and subject to eligibility, check terms and conditions .

The event schedule includes: 

  • 9:00 a.m. – Doors Open **come for the start to be part of the event kick-off! 
  • 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Program Information Sessions 
  • 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Campus Tours
