FAIL TO ATTEND, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 27, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with fail to comply with release order.
It is alleged on Jan. 13, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with appearance notice.
It is further alleged on Jan. 26, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the bail supervisor program. It is alleged he failed to report to the bail supervisor program and as a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
On Jan. 27, 2026, the man was located by Cornwall Police Service officers. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 54-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 27, 2026, and charged with domestic assault and forcible confinement. On Jan. 27, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence incident, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his ex-spouse and prevented her from leaving the residence. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on Feb. 24, 2026.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 27, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 27, 2026, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on March 10, 2026.
UTTERING THREATS, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 27, 2026, and charged with three counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged on Jan. 27, 2026, the woman assaulted an individual known to her with a weapon and made multiple threats to the individual. It is further alleged the woman threatened a second individual, who is also known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was later released to appear in court on March 3, 2026.
BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 28, 2026, and charged with break and enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence and assault. It is alleged on Jan. 27, 2026, the man broke into the residence of an individual known to him and assaulted the individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest. In the early morning hours of Jan. 28, 2026, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 10, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 28, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 28, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend for fingerprints as per undertaking. On Jan. 28, 2026, the woman was located at the courthouse. The warrant was executed and she was returned to cells for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 28, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 21, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not attend a specific Second Street East business. It is further alleged on this date, the woman attended the Second Street East business she was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the woman’s arrest. On Jan. 28, 2026, the woman was located by a CPS officer, who was dealing with an unrelated matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 28, 2026, and charged with five counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of assault with a weapon. In the early morning hours of Jan. 9, 2026, members of the CPS responded to an assault complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Jan. 9, 2026, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess ay weapons, as well as a third probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged the man assaulted an individual known to him with a tool. As a result of the investigation, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On Jan. 28, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was investigating an unrelated incident. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 28, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants.
It is alleged on Aug. 31, 2025, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a warrant was issued for the man’s arrest on the charges of two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is further alleged on Nov. 27, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for court as per undertaking.
Finally, it is alleged on Dec. 30, 2025, the man was once again scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. Another warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with appearance notice.
On Jan. 28, 2026, police responded to a suspicious person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by CPS officers. The warrants were executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 28, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with release order
- Fail to comply with sentence order
- Break and enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
- Assault with a weapon

It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to reside at a specific address, as well as a youth sentence order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapon. It is further alleged on Jan. 27, 2026, the man broke into the residence of an individual known to him and assaulted the complainant with a tool. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On Jan. 28, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
