CORNWALL, ON, Sep 17, 2026 – Mayoral candidate Justin Towndale welcomes the endorsement of former MPP Jim Brownell, who represented the riding of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry from 2003-2011. Prior to this, Mr. Brownell spent 14 years at the municipal level.
Mr. Brownell made the endorsement via a video which is now posted on social media.
“It’s my honour to give support to the residents of the city, to come out and support a man who has given so much to his community”, said Jim Brownell. “It is my privilege to endorse Justin Towndale for another term”.
“Jim Brownell has spent over two decades as an elected official, and I am grateful for his confidence”, said Justin Towndale. “As a former Reeve, Jim has first hand knowledge of the Mayor’s job, and it is an honour to receive his endorsement.”
Justin Towndale is a two term Councillor and incumbent Mayor seeking re-election.
