Summer Beer Fest releases more tickets to the public

Cornwall, Ontario – As the second edition of Cornwall’s Summer Beer Fest is fast approaching, organizers are releasing a couple more hundred tickets to the public. Set to be held on July 9^th, 2016 at the NAV Centre, the Summer Beer Fest is an experimental marketing initiative that celebrates our amazing local food scene and our region’s craft breweries.

Its goal is to attract all members of the community to a unique gathering that promotes local restaurants and various regional breweries via tastings, samples, promotional materials, and one-on-one information sessions. At press time, over 1,200 tickets have been sold. Matching last year’s attendance with two weeks of sales left. Tickets are $20 and provide access to the Summer Beer Fest only. During the event, guests will be able to purchase $1 tokens which can be exchanged for samples of alcoholic beverages and/or food items (subject to pricing). Tickets can be purchased online at www.seawayfoodfestival.ca or you can pick them up at the NAV Centre.

“The response we have seen so far from the community has been phenomenal. Frankly, it has surpassed our expectations! We do have a limited capacity so we do strongly urge guests to purchase their tickets as soon as possible or they might miss out. Just in the past couple of days we’ve added a couple more breweries and food vendors to accommodate the influx of guests. We are fairly certain that we will sell out again this year,” added Sebastien Manigat, Director of the Seaway Food Festival.

That roughly translates into over 60 variety of beers. Further, the Seaway Food Festival has worked closely with local food producers to bring a different dimension to the typical beer festival. Organizer of Summer Beer Fest and Founder & Director of the Seaway Food Festival, Sebastien Manigat, believes the equal focus on a quality food experience sets Summer Beer Fest apart: “At the outset, this event’s goal was to showcase what’s best about our region and community. By marrying our tremendous craft beer industry and our city’s exceptional culinary talents, we believe we have achieved that.”

The full list of participating restaurants is: Bar Q, Truffles Burger Bar, Table 21, ESCA Pizza, Jambel, Schnitzels, Sheep’s Head Bistro, Love Love Food, and Jet Set Pub.

This year will also mark the addition of two new features that are designed to enhance the Summer Beer Fest experience. First, guests have two ticket options: General Admission and Deluxe Admission. Deluxe tickets give you priority parking and access to the Seaway Food Festival Hospitality Suite. Some features included in the hospitality suite are private restrooms, exclusive private beer tasting from Kichesippi, Beau’s All Natural, Muskoka Brewery, and Cassel Brewery, summer cocktails provided by Nectar & Mixologie, hors d’oeuvres from Chef Dave Petrynka of Eight Zero Zero, snacks, shaded private lounge area, and amenities such as coffee, tea, and water.

Tremendous local music artists help round out the day. Headlined by Joel Sauvé, the other performers include Grace & Eric Willison, Mandee Woods and Sean Harley.
