What to Study in University to Work in Sales

Sales is a rapidly growing industry with a wide range of career opportunities. While you don’t need a specific degree, or a degree at all for that matter, to enter a career in sales, the skills you will learn along the way could be highly beneficial for your career. Additionally, if you plan to move up to more senior-level positions at some point in your career, a degree may be required.

During your studies, it’s also important to focus on opportunities outside of the classroom that may help with your future career. Things like networking events, student-run conferences, clubs, and volunteer opportunities are great ways to gain transferable skills and experience. They can also expose you to sales jobs in Toronto or another city you may plan to live in that may be available upon graduation.
