Under his leadership, staff at Upper Canada Village created and delivered a unique tourism event called Pumpkinferno, which was named Ontario’s “Attraction of the Year.” Another successful event, Alight at Night, was also recently recognized for its excellence.

Mr. Dalgleish’s presentation will discuss his Business Renewal Strategy, results, and outline areas of future focus at SLPC. He will also offer insights into how Cornwall and SDG businesses can enhance their partnership with the SLPC to maximize the economic impact of the hundreds of thousands of visitors attracted to SLPC sites each year.

The SLPC operates internationally renowned historic site Upper Canada Village, Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada, part of Ontario’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site, thirteen campgrounds and beaches from the 1000 Islands to the Quebec border, Crysler Park Marina, Upper Canada Golf Course and Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary along with two scenic parkways – the Long Sault Parkway and the 1000 Islands Parkway.

“We have many great attractions in our region that continue to garner attention across Ontario,” said Gilles Latour, Team Cornwall Chair. “This presentation will give Team Cornwall members and the local business community a chance to explore how we can leverage our existing tourism infrastructure to develop new business opportunities.”
