DOMESTIC CRIMINAL HARASSMENT & OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE

Cornwall, ON- A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 22nd, 2013. It is alleged that on February 20th, 2013, he continuously contacted and intimidated his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Criminal Harassment and Obstructing justice. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON- An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 22, 2013. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant condition to not associate or communicate directly or indirectly with anyone under the age of 18 years unless supervised by a responsible adult who is aware of the charges and of the accused’s conditions of release. It is alleged that on February 21st, 2013, he was observed with a 15-year-old female with no supervision. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on February 23th, 2013. The youth was bound by an Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation Order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and attend on a full time basis, without lateness or truancy such school or other place of learning training deemed appropriate by your youth worker. The youth was also bound by a second Probation Order with the relevant condition to abstain from the use of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs. It is alleged that on February 22nd, 2013, he failed to attend school. It is also alleged that on February 23rd, 2013, he caused damaged to property after being confronted regarding consuming alcohol. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Probation and Mischief under $5000. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON- Amanda Lagacy, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on February 24th, 2013. It is alleged that on February 24th, 2013 she got into an altercation with a 21-year-old female acquaintance when she assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Further investigation revealed that she assaulted the same female in August 2012. She was charged with 2 counts of Assault and released to appear in court on April 11th, 2013.

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON-The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred between February 23rd and 24th, 2013 at a Kirkwood Street garage. The suspect(s) gained entry and removed several tools. If you have any information regarding this break & enter, please contact the Service at 613-932-2110 or Crime Stoppers at 613-937-8477.
