OverviewFebruary 27, 2013 – After a long, cold and snowy winter, everyone in the Cornwall region will be looking forward to the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce Spring Home & Leisure Show. It’s coming soon and once again, it will be chock full of terrific ideas on how to enhance your home, garden and leisure activities.

“It’s always an exciting time for the Chamber as we get ready for our colourful spring event,”says Assistant Executive Manager, Amy Malyon. “We’ll have close to 100 exhibitors who will be on hand to showcase the latest in home, garden and leisure products and services.”

This year as a special attraction, the Chamber is working with the City of Cornwall to present ‘City Central’. “We plan to have a special section at the Spring Show with representatives from a number of City departments,” continues Strasser. “City Central will give visitors a unique opportunity to ask the questions they’ve always wanted to ask but didn’t who know to go to.”

No Spring Show would be complete without lots of ‘show-and-tells’ and the 2013 Home & Leisure is no exception. There will be the ever popular food demonstrations and spectators can look forward to some delicious samples. Along with the food, there will be a variety of other exhibits with lots of how-to’s and a special pool workshop to give timely tips on opening and preparing your back yard pools and hot tubs so that you can enjoy a worry free summer swim and soak season.

Then, there are the prizes that Chamber Home Shows are well known for and this year’s event is no exception. According Amy Malyon, many exhibitors will have draws and the Chamber has two grand prizes. “This year we have two wonderful items to be won by some lucky Show visitors,” reports Malyon. “There is a beautiful Tiki Patio set valued at close to $3,000.00 and a Bremshey Ambition treadmill worth $1,700.00.”

The Spring Home & Leisure begins on Friday, April 12 and continues until Sunday, April 14 all at the Cornwall Civic Complex. Tickets are just $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for students and seniors and children under 12, accompanied by an adult are free.
