The Social Development Council – Poverty Working Group would like announce the first official Community Voices S-D-G activity. Community Voices S-D-G is planning on hosting two Community Engagement Forums to gather information to help guide our work towards relieving poverty and building stronger communities.
Community Voices S-D-G will be hosting a free dinner (a vegan option will be provided) at C.C.V.S. high school from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on the 20th of March (in English) and another on the 27th of March (in French).
Community Voices SDG is about you having your say about what living in poverty means to you. We will be asking community members to share their thoughts on issues surrounding poverty and related topics in our community. We are looking for community members who are concerned about poverty or who have lived experience with matters concerning food security, homelessness and social inclusion (sense of belonging). All are invited!
The goal of these forums is to collect data which will help guide our future efforts; Building stronger, resilient communities. Your voices are important to us.
