Government Invests in Morrisburg Curling Club Accessibility Upgrades

Curling Club in Morrisburg Ontario
The Curling Club in Morrisburg Ontario will become more handicap accessible thanks to Federal money.

Morrisburg Ontario – As part of the Government’s Economic Action Plan 2012, Guy Lauzon, Member of Parliament for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry today announced additional federal funding through the CIIF program. 

“Once again, this is another example of how we are showing our support for local infrastructure right here in our community,” said MP Lauzon. “The Morrisburg Curling Club has been working towards this project for the past few years, and it is wonderful to provide federal support through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.”

The Government of Canada is providing up to $31,650 for the Morrisburg Curling Club to upgrade the building and provide a more handicap accessible facility.

Through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund, the Government of Canada has committed to supporting communities and creating jobs through repairs and improvements to existing community facilities over the next two years.
