Friends of Vets Cornwall Fundraiser

Cornwall Ontario — Cornwall Friends of Vets held their fundraiser dinner Saturday afternoon at the R.C.A.F. Here is an excerpt from the speech given by Steven Forrest at tonight’s fundraiser.

“Profits will help finance our film “Veterans Breaking the Silence”, the world premiere will be at the end of May. Our group is called “Friends of Vets”. This group of Veterans meet twice monthly to provide friendship to each other and concerned citizens who also want to be their friends. We hope all of you will want to be part of Cornwall’s Friends of Vets too”.

The keynote speaker at the event was Mr. Lee Hart, a 93 year old veteran of World War Two. He spoke about PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder).
