Hi Everyone, Marlene back for another week of fashion tips and more ideas to help you look and feel your very Best! I hope ALL of you Mothers out there had a pleasant and fun kind of Mother’s Day with your families. I want to talk about summer attire this week, that’s if ~Mother Nature~ plays along with us and gives us the “summer weather” we all want and need. Dresses are so much FUN to have as part of your wardrobe. I really love dresses because they are so easy and simple to throw on over your underthings, slip on a pair of sandals and out the door you go… Ready for the day or evening. Summer dresses are nice to have as you can wear them over a bathing suit… go to the beach or a pool, slip off the dress and viola, you’re ready to jump in..and then afterwards, you slip it back on and off you go again..looking just fine and dandy.
Other summer clothes such as shorts, skirts and tops are available at all the Thrift stores here in Cornwall. This way you can “Mix & Match” several pairs of shorts and skirts along with many different tops at a fraction of the cost, compared to retail stores. As well, you are helping out these wonderful organizations such as the Agape, the Salvation Army and Value Village. We Help them to Help others in and around the community less fortunate than ourselves.
Sandals (of all heel heights) flip flops, and pumps are always the summer shoe favorites. They come in all colours of the rainbow to match everything you have in your closet or wardrobe. Why not add a “BOLD” colour to a simple coloured dress? For example, if you were going to wear a blue dress…add a “Red” pair of pumps or sandals and a matching purse. That “Splash” of colour stands out and makes your outfit a “WOW” factor. Or, if you are a less adventurous kind of woman, then go with a less BOLD colour, but wear a complimenting or lighter shade of whatever colour you are wearing.
I would like to add that our Fabulous “Make Over Contest” is going to be continuing until June 15th. I am still wanting you ladies out there to send in your “Fashion No-No’s” to us here at the Seeker. Simply take a photo of yourself or a family member or a friend wearing something “Not so Fashion Savvy.” Giving YOU or THEM a CHANCE to WIN a COMPLETE MAKE-OVER. Until next week Ladies, Keep Smiling because Life is too short not to!!!
