The Beyond 21 Program for Special Needs Adults has been assured a successful future thanks to a $119,000 grant over two years, from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). Mr. Jim McDonell, the MPP for Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry officiated at the presentation with Mrs. Tish Humphries, President of Beyond 21, along with Rhona Munro and Jacques Legault, Board Members.

QUOTES

“We are so pleased that the Ontario Trillium Foundation was receptive to our request and that they also saw the critical need that is being met by The Beyond 21 Program. We are growing and our future success will now be enhanced with the hiring of a full time Program Manager. Our Special Needs Adult participants will greatly benefit from these funds.”

Tish Humphries, President, The Beyond 21 Program.

“We realize that this grant is a valuable investment in our community and we are pleased to be part of the efforts of The Beyond 21 Program.”

Mr. Jim McDonell, MPP, Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry

ABOUT

The Beyond 21 Program was established barely 1 1/2 years ago with the help of some dedicated volunteers. In this very short time, it flourished because there was and still is a critical void that exists once a Special Needs adult reaches the age of 21.
