Terry Besner North Stormont Business BreakfastThe Counties, Ontario – The first North Stormont business breakfast was held this week at North Stormont Place in Avonmore with great success. Over 100 attendees gathered to listen to keynote speaker Maxime Bernier, Minister of State for Small Business and Tourism, as well as presentations by Michel Moisan (OMAFRA); Alex Gibson, Economic Development and Recreation, North Stormont; and Terry Besner, Economic Development and Communications Officer for the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG).

The focus of the event was to provide local businesses with an understanding of how each level of government can help support their business. “Developing partnerships and sharing information with key community partners throughout Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry is essential to our North Stormont Business Breakfastregion’s future economic success,” stated Terry Besner. “It is great to see so many people coming out to support North Stormont and the local economy. It is events such as this that bring our community together and builds strong relationships,” added Besner.

 

“Our community response was positive and it looks like there are more events like this on the horizon,” said Alex Gibson, North Stormont. “Many of the guests commented that they were pleased with the choice of speakers, and look forward to more sessions in the future,” concluded Gibson.
