The Seeker is calling the riding of SDSG for Incumbent MPP Jim McDonell who is currently in the lead. For most of the night it was a close race between Liberal candidate John Earle and NDP candidate Elaine MacDonald for second place. John Earle has pulled a head and it is likely he will secure second spot.

Here are the results:

Polls: 244/244

  • PC Jim McDonell – 19,457 votes
  • Liberal John Earle – 9287 votes
  • NDP Elaine MacDonald – 8374 votes
  • Green Sharon Norman – 1047 votes
  • Libertarian Shawn McRae – 608 votes.

The riding of Stormon-Dundas-South Glengary has 77,603 eligible voters.

Across Ontario the Liberals won a majority government and are leading or elected in 59 riding’s. The PCs are elected or leading in 27 riding’s. The NDP are elected or leading in 21 riding’s. The Greens are elected or leading in 0 riding’s.
