Cornwall Ontario — Corus Radio Cornwall’s boom 101.9 is proud to announce that 10,640 lbs of food and $2,215 was raised during its second annual Stuff the Studio this past Friday, December 5. The food and funds raised at this event go towards the St. Vincent de Paul Society food bank and their Christmas food baskets which are prepared for those in need this holiday season.

“We’re simply overwhelmed by the community’s generosity,” said Dan Allaire, On-Air Personality, boom 101.9 and champion of Stuff the Studio. “From residents to businesses and organizations like Rachel’s Kids, to step up the way they did, is amazing. It was a magical day.”

In only its second year, Stuff the Studio saw an increase of over three times the amount of food donations compared to last year.

“When Dan decided to go ahead with the fundraiser again this year, we aimed to raise 5,000 lbs of food,” said Bill Halman, On-Air Personality and Brand Director, Corus Radio Cornwall. “It’s wonderful to know that the St. Vincent de Paul Society food bank will be able provide food for families this holiday season.”

Stuff the Studio is held in support of Corus Feeds Kids, Corus Entertainment’s national initiative focused on nourishing children’s bodies and minds for healthy development and long-term success. To learn more or to donate to Corus Feeds Kids, please visit www.corusfeedskids.com.
