South Stormont — The Township of South Stormont has issued a statement concerning the death of an alleged aggressive stray dog:
“On behalf of the Township of South Stormont and our Animal Control Officer, Herb Waldroff, we would like to advise the public that we are aware of the most unfortunate incident that took place concerning the death of an alleged aggressive and stray dog. Due to an on-going investigation the Township cannot comment any further at this time. However we wish to reassure our residents that the Township and its staff will thoroughly review the details of this matter, and in future we will continue to balance the interests of humane treatment and public safety going forward.”
