Hugo Mobility, in association with La Plume Moderne, are proud (sort of) to present Participation’s Music Hall Theatre Production, the First World Premiere of Syllabification from a Sycophant, starring APRIL SHOWERS and MAY FLOWERS (if they are available).
Participation is a curious quartet of musicians—Voice (and virtuoso Kazoo), Clarinet, Tenor Ukelele and Tuba—but what better way to bring alive the superbly singable songs of the “Paleolithic” (that is, Rag Time and Jazz) eras of the early 20th century? Anticipating that folk would be inspired to sing along, they chose their very name to serve as an invitation. Syllabification from a Sycophant is a Multimedia Melange of Rag Time Music, Comedy and Images. Nothing naughty (except Bob’s Spotted Dick).
Are they any good? “What a fun and entertaining troupe of skilled musicians accompanying the delicious, mellow voice of gorgeous Katie. Loved every minute!” – Katalin Kennedy
