Cornwall – The Cornwall Colts scored three goals one minute and twelve seconds apart in the
third period en route to a 6-2 home ice win over the Gloucester Rangers.
Nick Lalonde scored twice including his team leading 21st goal of the season to pace the Colts
offence. David Poirier and Ethan Mulhearn each scored their first CCHL goals with Mulhearn
adding an assist. Tanner Spink (17) and Matthew Morin (15) also scored. Lawson MacDonald chipped in with three assists. Lawson MacDougall and Brennan Markell each had two assists.
Liam Lascelle made 24 saves for the victory as the Colts outshot the Rangers 43-26.
The Colts record improves to 29-27-4-1 for 63 points and 9th place in the CCHL standings.
The Wendy’s Restaurant Three Stars were First Star, Lawson MacDonald (COR), Second Star,
Nick Lalonde (COR) and Third Star, Jacob Kendrick (GLO).
The Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Colts player was Ethan Mulhearn.
The Colts would like the thank the fans who took part in the Skate With The Colts following
Sunday’s game.
The Colts wrap up their season with a home game against Cumberland Thursday night at the
Ed Lumley Arena. The Colts will welcome staff and students from CCVS. The Colts will also
honour their graduating players and award the Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Player of the
Season trophy. Game time this Thursday (March 3rd) is 7:30pm.
