Cornwall, Ontario – Off your Rocker has been a staple for Stand Up Comedy in Cornwall. Now it’s found a new home at La Maison Tavern on Montreal Road.

“We have been just doing pop up shows here and there without any consistency,” says local comedian Mark Vincent and creator of Off Your Rocker.

Bi-weekly shows will take place in the new year with more of a local twist.

“We have always had shows but never a scene here in Cornwall,” says Vincent referring to having little to no comics in Cornwall.

“It started with an idea of having an open mic here in town.  I made a post and suddenly I had 10 people sign up, showing me there is interest,” Vincent added.

La Maison will see two shows a month.  One is an open mic and the other is a Pro-Am.

“The open mic is all amateur and first timers but the pro-am will have a professional headliner along with some top up and comers, the point is to have great shows at a low cost.

Open mic will be $5 while pro-am only $10.

There will be an open mic December 7th here in Cornwall, before regular shows star in 2019.

The show on December 7th is hosted by Mark Vincent and will feature Jeff Joubert, Justin Roberge, Adam Gold, Sydney Martineau, Adam Gibeau, Courtney Evelynn, Tania O”Halloran, and more to be announced. Tickets for December 7th are $5 and available at La Maison.
