Finding out about the “Sisters for Life” organization

The business was recently purchased by Rebecca Valade, who took over as owner/operator in May. Prior to purchasing the business, Ms. Valade had been an employee at Creation Workshop since it opened in 2015. When the previous owner made the decision to sell, she was offered the opportunity to purchase the business and she took it. Since taking over, Miss Valade has enhanced her product and class offering in an effort to attract new customers.

“As the new owner, my goal has been to enhance our service by offering more classes and projects to the public,” said Rebecca Valade. “We’re always looking for new ideas so we’ll continue to engage with our customers to create the products and services they’re looking for.”

What started off as a small pottery studio has grown into a workshop that expanded into a 1000 square foot space in 2018. The new space has helped the business to increase its classes which now includes ceramics, glass fusion, painting, pottery classes, birthday parties, theme nights and more. Classes are inclusive and can be geared towards the experience of the participants. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

“We believe that everyone is creative,” says Ms. Valade. “There are no mistakes in art, only happy accidents. Anyone can be an artist if they put their mind to it.”

Group and individual classes can be offered on-site or at your preferred location. A list of events being offered include:

  • Birthday parties
  • Bachelorette parties
  • Baby shower
  • Retirement parties
  • Team building
  • Girls night out
  • Mom and me events
  • School outings
  • Party in a box
  • Fundraisers and more

Creation Workshop Cornwall is located at 812 Pitt St., Unit #7, beside Sharon’s Pantry.
