Why PDF is the Most Popular File Format?

PDFs, or portable document formats, have become the file of choice for many in the business sector, and for many at home. The PDF is undoubtedly the king of files for its versatility. PDFs are universal, meaning you can edit your documents on Microsoft Word and then transfer them to an Apple Mac, and vice versa, providing that you save them as a PDF, whereas if you saved them as an ordinary word document, they, unfortunately, may not be formatted properly when you move them across to a different device, and therefore compromise your data.

PDFs can be fantastic and are a brilliant way to, as aforementioned, cross-platform transfer data and information, which is why many companies and agencies require your documents to be submitted in PDF format. Here are some other reasons why PDF is the most popular file format.

You Can Convert Any File to a PDF

Part of the charm and attraction PDFs have is the fact that you can format any file into one. The professionals of https://www.viewpdf.com/ offer an online PDF formatting program which enables you to format any file into a PDF. This is why PDFs are so fantastic and have become so very popular. As was mentioned initially, when you have a Microsoft PC you can find it difficult to move data to an Apple Mac or to another computer, so by simply converting your file to a PDF, you can move the file to your chosen device and then change it back to the platforms file that corresponds with the original file.

Mobile Access

Another reason PDFs are very popular is because you can access them from your mobile device. Many other file formats will not allow you to open them on your phone or on your pad, whereas PDFs allow you to do it with Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader often comes installed on your phone, meaning you do not have to go out of your way to install it and can get on with your work on your phone, pad, and on any other device. Many file formats, unfortunately, have not yet developed to the stage where they can do that, which is why you should always make sure you save your files in PDF if you are going to be traveling and having to work on the go. If you do not, you risk not being able to alter your files in movement.

Security

Unlike many other documents, you can password protect a PDF. If you are transferring sensitive data, it is instrumental in that process that you fully secure it, and the best way is to put on a password. PDF password security is very advanced and cannot be penetrated.

Many top security firms and government offices use PDFs for their fantastic security, and if you are planning on transferring high-risk data, it is very important that you do so also. Other document alternatives simply do not offer the level of protection you are provided when using a PDF.

PDFs are undoubtedly more popular now than they ever have been, and this popularity shows no signs of waning. Instead of using other inferior files, use PDFs and reap the rewards like countless others are doing.
