Tell us about yourself. Who are you and why do you want to become Ms. Health and Fitness?

My name is Mireille. I consider myself a shy, hard-working mom. I Keep to myself a lot and I’ve been keeping up with my health for the last 5 years with at home workouts.

This contest came along and I though it would be a great opportunity to increase my motivation, and help me stay on track or maybe even push my fitness to the next level. I would love to become the Ms Health and Fitness to show that with hard work and consistency, you can accomplish anything. Hopefully this will inspire other moms out there like me.

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Most important is: it takes time, be patient with yourself and learn to appreciate the process. You didn’t gain weight in a few weeks, so it’s fair to say it takes time to reverse the process. I can also say, it’s a lifestyle, not a quick fix. Things don’t always go our way, but if you look at it as a lifestyle change, it takes some of the pressure off of trying to get to your goals fast.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

In every way. I have a busy life, work, side business, child, etc. I need the output, something to do to get my mind straight and be able to focus on the situation at hand. Life also brings me in a negative mindset sometimes, I’m not proud of it, but that’s just my life, right? Working out brings me energy, but most importantly, the capacity to push some black clouds away and clear my mental health in a positive way. My body feels more balanced. I won’t even start with the hormones… LOL!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would love to help kids in my community that have difficulties and need a helping hand. This year has been difficult for all of us, so supporting those groups that help the kids in need is important to me. The money will be donated and divided between different organization helping kids. I think I can change 2020 and turn it into the best year ever for kids in needs.

How can people help you bring this prize to Cornwall?

I need for the community to come together to help me bring the money here. I need one vote everyday to bring me to 1st place, once you vote, you will see what rank I’m at. The votes are free. So the more votes I get, the more chances I have to winning the prize.
