The Seaway Valley Theatre Company is delighted to announce that they will soon unveil their
new children’s production, “The Show Must Go Online!,” the company’s first ever online play.

A frazzled drama teacher sends a video message to her students from her home office,
announcing that their production of “Brushes With Greatness: The Dental Hygiene Musical”
has been cancelled! She tries to hang up, but accidentally leaves the camera running as she
receives a phone call from the principal who tells her that without the musical, the drama
program will be shut down. Whatever will she do? Can her class save the day?

Created specifically to be performed remotely, this hilarious and one of a kind children’s show
is directed by longtime SVTC member, Amy Malyon. While she has choreographed and been
seen onstage in many of the company’s musicals, this is her first stab at directing. She has
assembled a cast of fifteen talented young performers from Cornwall and beyond to play
twenty-two characters. Producing the show are Allison Main and Brigitte Lefebvre-Malyon.

“The Show Must Go Online!” will be premiere on Sunday, August 16th, 2020 at 8:00 PM on
both YourTV Cornwall and on . The show will then www.svtc.ca be streamed on www.svtc.ca
from August 17th to 30th. Although viewing is free, “pay what you can” donations via PayPal to
help the company finance future productions will be gratefully accepted.

This is a truly unique theatrical experience that is not to be missed. For more information, visit
the SVTC’s website and Facebook page. Be sure to follow the hashtag #SVTCTheShowMustGoOnline on social media, too. “The Show Must Go Online!” is presented through special arrangement with Beat By Beat Press. (www.bbbpress.com)
