Help for Hope a Grand Success

The 1st Annual Alzheimer Society of Cornwall and District’s Help for Hope lottery grand prize draw was held on January 18th, 2021 and Alain Gourgon of Rockland was the big winner of $10,000!

During the three-month campaign we are proud to announce that over 1,100 tickets were sold, leading to $19,140 in total funds collected. Tickets were sold throughout the Cornwall and SD&G area, Prescott, Russell and Akwesasne by volunteers, employees and supporters of The Alzheimer Society.

Our early bird draw winners were Gail Flaro, Jacques Bellefeuille and Marissa Quesnel. They each won $500!! The Alzheimer Society of Cornwall and District want to thank everyone who participated in this great fundraiser and everyone who purchased tickets with a big Congratulations going out the the $10,000 winner Alain Gourgon!

“The money raised will stay in our community and go towards helping fund our many essential programs,” explained Executive Director Caroline Guimond.

We are proud to help those living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias (Vascular, Frontal Temporal Dementia, Lewy Body, Parkinson’s and more) as well as their families and caregivers. This is done through support, education and guidance within the health care system. The Alzheimer Society of Cornwall and District serve the counties of Prescott, Russell, Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry and Akwesasne.
