Cornwall, ON — The Cornwall Seeker, in collaboration with Masks Over Protests, want to paint Cornwall and Area with a positive message of LOVE and support for all essential workers, and what better way to do so than by inviting people to post signs on their front yard.
“There is so much negativity going around with Covid that we wanted to change the conversation and acknowledge all the sacrifices every essential worker in the area has made over the last year,” said Julia Lucio, The Seeker’s managing editor. “We know people are tired and want this to end, but we need to remain human and be kind. This is a wave of kindness that will go a long way.”
“This round of signs focused on essential workers, but we’d like people to know that we, at the Seeker, believe everybody is essential to beating this virus,” continued Mai-Liis Renaud, co-owner. “Future signs may feature different messages from a Thank You to small business owners who have been affected so hard by lockdowns, to acknowledging kids or the elderly. The point is, everybody has sacrificed a lot during this pandemic, and we want to point that out.”
The FREE signs are available for pickup from the lawn at the Seeker office at 327 2nd Street East. Donations are appreciated, but not mandatory, and can be dropped off in the locked mailbox. Any money collected will go to producing more signs to share more positivity, love and support.
Let’s cover this town, and area, with Positive Messages!
